Flag Puts Targeted Ads on the Back of Photo Prints

Flag provides a new way of advertising for small businesses.

If you have been looking for a new, cheap and unique way to advertise your business then you will be happy to learn about Flag. Basically, Flag is a photo printing app that allows businesses, advertisers and marketers to advertise their products on the back of customized photo prints.

Flag Provides a New Way of Advertising Your Small Business

The app offers small business owners and marketers an opportunity to reach targeted groups using low priced ads — as low as a cent.

The app also promises “truly free” prints to its users. This is made possible by the fact that the photo prints are ad-supported. Businesses pay to advertise their products on the back of the photos. Effectively, businesses can rest easy knowing that users will never throw the photos away as it is a photo that they love.

“When Flag prints your ads on the back of a photo someone loves you don’t have to waste time and money trying to keep your ad out of the trash, or getting people’s attention. Simply say what’s important, and try to send a message that will work as well in a decade as it does today,” reads a statement on the company’s main page.

How It Works

Flag combines addresses and other public data to infer people’s interests, attitudes and income based on their lives. It also collects digital photo information, including things such as where and when the photo was taken and the model of the camera among other things. “Flag can read this data and use it to work out how people like to spend their time and money more accurately than by an address alone,” the company claims. Using metadata, advertisers are able to craft targeted ads to fit people’s behaviors.

Flag also allows for variable data printing that enables advertisers to customize ads so that each recipient receives a message that addresses them by name.

Best of all, the app is easy to use and you don’t have to be a designer to do so. You can easily and quickly create ads on your phone or tablet while on the go.

Currently, Flag is only available for iOS users so Android users might have to wait a little longer for a compatible version. In the meantime, you can download it for free at the App Store.
